Seasons Greetings from everyone here at Weeping Spoon HQ!
The years just seem to go by faster and faster and so it’s easy to feel like you maybe didn’t get much done, but taking a look back, we really did cram a LOT into 2025!
We kicked off with TWO MASSIVE FRINGE WORLD shows in 2025, Producing a killer season of Perish With Great Difficulty followed by our co-production with Ribbit Republic from Canada presenting the Australian debut of AWOL, which sold out shows at The State Theatre Centre, travelled for Bunbury Fringe and even nabbed a Weekly Theatre Award!
In March we made our feature film debut at the WA MADE Film Festival with Christmas Orphans, a film that we helped produce. The film played to a sold-out house, followed by a super fun Q&A. We really look forward to FINALLY bringing everyone else this fun little film in 2026!

May saw the first table read of the Trampoline Feature Film (!) with an incredible cast bringing to life this new adaptation of our hit theatre show of the same name. This was the start of something huge.
The second half of the year focused on developing Trampoline The Movie (!!) with the development, shooting and editing/Post Production of our proof-of-concept trailer! The was a huge learning curve but we’re super happy with the results. Once again, a massive shout to everyone who helped make this happen! Can’t wait to keep chipping away in 2026 and getting this thing made! Stay Tuned!
Our next big theatre work, Shock Jocks went into production in the last few months also. It is one the funniest, darkest and most unhinged pieces of theatre we’ve ever made and I can’t wait for you all to see it Fringe World in Feb 2026 (TICKETS ON SALE NOW BTW!).
It’s been a huge year for us and in 2026, we are celebrating 20 YEARS (!!!) of making art and we can’t wait to take you along for the party!
Thanks for being here. Thanks for playing. Take cares of yourselves and each other. See you at the Fringe Bar.
Xoxo
Shane, Weeping Spoon.
