From the creator of ★★★★★ Fringe Hit The Ballad Of Frank Allen and the Martin Sims and Just For Laughs Award-Winning Vehicle, comes a brand new one-man comedy that explores the triumph of the human spirit against all odds.

THE YEAR THERE WERE NO MONSTERS takes place in a world where giant mutant monsters roam the Earth. Tonight, a group of bizarre and eccentric “Everyday people” gather at an Open Mic to tell their stories. Told through story, song, clown, mime and “high art” these characters will explore theme of love, loss, betrayal, divine inspiration, perseverance and what it truly means to be a “hero” in today’s world.

Inspired by 1960’s Japanese pop-culture icons like Ultraman and Kamen Rider, the legend of Godzilla, Super Sentai and other Tokusatsu heroes, a man and his guitar will take the audience of a hilarious journey through some truly strange and wonderful characters in a reality just one small step away from our own.
