We are super excited to finally announce not one, but TWO shows we are co-producing at the 2017 Fringe World Festival!
We’re teaming up with Variegated Productions to bring back an Improv-Allsorts favourite! Ramshackle & Kitsch is the lovechild of Starsky & Hutch and The Mighty Boosh, a manic comedy based on audience suggestions and the finest of buddy cop traditions.
Ramshackle is an old school detective – a veteran who does what needs to be done to get the right man behind bars.Kitsch is new on the team – a wide-eyed hipster who is as equally excited about the job as being distracted by puppies wearing shiny collars.
Following previous fringe-hits Vicious Circles and The Ballad Of Frank Allen, we’re teaming up again with Montreal’s Stadium Tour Theatre Company to make the world debut of our new show THEM GOOD OL’ BOYS as part of The Blue Room Theatre’s Summer Nights season.
February 2, 1959. Clear Lake, Iowa. Four Musicians. This is Buddy Holly’s final chapter.
Them Good Ol’ Boys brings us back to the last moments of Buddy Holly as he struggles to regain control of his life, his music and his career, all in the middle of frozen Midwest nowhere, USA. Join Waylon Jennings in this chronologically impaired journey as we spy through his eyes and memories on Buddy’s last night, with a faint Echo of love, loss, nostalgia and survivor guilt. This is rock and roll. This is the day the music died.
The soundtrack to our latest show THE BALLAD OF FRANK ALLEN has just been released on bandcamp! It contains all the tracks from the show plus some bonus content!
Huge thanks to our buddy Alwyn Nixon-Lloyd for recording and mixing the EP! Thanks also to Alyssa Nixon-Lloyd, Brett Cullen and all our Indiegogo supporters for helping make it happen!

WEEPING SPOON PRODUCTIONS (That’s us) is taking our latest (and arguably strangest) show on the road in 2016. THE BALLAD OF FRANK ALLEN is all about a tiny man who lives in another man’s beard and we are taking it to the 2016 Adelaide Fringe Festival, the second biggest fringe festival in the world!
We need YOUR help to fund our tour to The Adelaide Fringe. Touring a show is tricky and expensive and your contribution to our campaign will help us pay for flights, accommodation, publicity and venue hire costs throughout the festival. There, we will be performing for fringe audiences (our favourite kinda crowds!) as well as showcasing the show to producers, judges and festival directors who can help us take FRANK ALLEN further around the globe in the future.
We are aiming to raise at least $2000, which although a fraction of our total costs, would aid us greatly in our tour to Adelaide. Anything you can do to help us out (even if it’s spreading the word of our indiegogo page) is greatly appreciated. Really, we mean it, we love you!
In return for your generosity, we are offering a number of unique and exclusive perks including:
So please check out our Indiegogo page and help us keep making awesome independent theatre!
So glad to finally announce the first of our big shows for next year!

A Boy meets girl story that’s less than ordinary. TRAMPOLINE is a feel-good comedy that will warm your heart, make you laugh and make you question the very notion of normal!

We’re proud to announce the second of our big three shows for this Fringe World. Weeping Spoon’s own Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd (Nickelodeon, Funny Or Die) teams up with The Big HOO-HAA’s Bri Williams to bring you the improvised comedy adventure BRI AND WYATT SAVE THE WORLD!
There’s a lot of bad news out there today. Environmental disasters, an all time high unemployment rate, Red Foo. The world needs a hero. No, heroes. Two people who between them both, truly believe that they can save the world. Enter Brianna Williams and Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd: improvisers, life enthusiasts and would-be-heroes. They may not be able to save the world, but their hope is that the premiere of the improvised duo show “Bri and Wyatt Save the World” will bring a smile to the face and a laugh to the belly of the general Perth audience. Armed only with your ideas and their wits, in sixty minutes of improvised comedy, Bri and Wyatt are going to save the world.
